Yum's

Type: Restaurant Year: 2025

Yum's of PDX is the first restaurant from Miriam Weiskind, a former New York art director turned pizzaiola. After nearly a decade with Scott's Pizza Tours and training at Brooklyn's iconic Paulie Gee's, she baked more than 5,000 pandemic pizzas for New Yorkers in need, earning coverage in The New York Times and a spot representing New York-style pizza on Food Network's Chopped. She brought that story to Portland's Buckman neighborhood in 2025. The restaurant blends the Pacific Northwest, family memory and New York character around a wood-fired oven. Family photos share the walls with photos of her pizza mentors, making the room as personal as the pies.
